I feel like acro is designed for people who have quivers instead of shields, and thats not really where they are pitching es builds. But for the sake of debate.Īn es build generally has a shield. Ok devils advocate mode, Im not actually against the idea of it being open to es builds, I have mixed feelings and Im far from really having any strong preference tbh. Its an interesting point about energy shield. Perhaps evasion isn't as bad off as all that.) (Another interesting thing from that report is that the, in the forums, much maligned Arrow Dancing (nee Ondar's Guile) is the 7th most popular keystone. The reason that there's a penalty on every other fundamental form of defense is that, without it, acrobatics would be a mandatory node, providing a huge defense bonus at negligible cost for the type of defenses that it didn't apply penalties to which had pathed anywhere close to the acrobatics node.Ĭan you think of ANY evasion build or ANY ES build, that wouldn't benefit greatly, greater than picking up any other keystone or 5-10 minor defensive nodes, by picking up Acrobatics in your version? You might, but I bet it would take an effort.Īcrobatics is already, as it is, one of the very strongest keystones in the game.Īmongst the 3,848 public builds of the top 15,000 (by level) in the current Talisman league, Acrobatics was the most common keystone, Vaal Pact the second most common, and Phase Acrobatics the third most common. The closest node it has to Acrobatics is the Intelligence node before Ghost Reaver, which isn't all that close, but saving 11 points somewhere in the build's defenses to pick up Acrobatics and Phase Acrobatics would be so worth it without the ES penalty. I find your idea to be a very poor idea, though I'll admit to a certain perverse fascination realizing just how much it would improve my own already very strong ES tank build. In other words, you want it to be a pure survivability increase for non-block non-armour builds of around 100%/70% ~ 42% against attacks for ES and evasion builds that are willing to spend the skill points on navigating to Acrobatics, and of around 100%/60% ~ 67% vs attacks and 100%/70% ~ 42% vs spells for those willing to spend the skill points on navigating to it and the additional four points for phase acrobatics, and a slightly lower survivability increase for builds incorporating block without being full-blown block builds.
